Welcome to Theater Design Company. We design, build, and install private home theaters — picture, sound, and the room itself. Barco, AudioControl, and KEF are typical. Based in the Northwest, we serve all of Washington and take projects nationwide.
Projection, screens, and video walls
We design, sell, and install the video systems for the room. That can be a calibrated projector and a properly sized Seymour screen, a high-end flat panel, or a motorized video wall. We spec throw distance, screen gain, seating geometry, and lighting so the image is sharp from every seat. Brands we use include Barco, Sony, and AVPro Edge. The goal is reference video, not a bright TV in a dark room.
Immersive high-performance sound
The soundtrack has to match the picture. We design speaker layout, bass management, and processing for the actual room — not a generic 5.1 diagram. That includes in-wall or in-ceiling speakers where they belong, dedicated cinema speakers where they belong, and electronics that can drive the system cleanly. AudioControl and KEF are typical in our cinemas. We install and calibrate the system so dialogue is clear and effects stay in the room.
Dedicated private theater rooms
A cinema is a room first. We plan seating, sightlines, acoustic treatment, lighting, and control so the space is quiet, dark, and simple to use. Theater Design Company is one of the only firms in Washington that will design the system and build the room — construction, isolation, seating, dimming, and a control system that starts the movie with one button. We design it, sell the equipment, and install the finished theater for private cinemas in Washington and on destination projects.
